Agreements
List of agreements of the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee
On November 11, 1975, the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement – a modern-day Treaty – was signed by representatives by the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee, the Inuit of Nunavik, the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec and Hydro-Quebec. Since then, we have signed over 75 agreements with the aim of recognizing and protecting Eeyou rights and expanding our governance and jurisdiction over Eeyou Istchee.
